React Job: Full Stack Javascript Developer

The Role

The client is a star provider in the crypto space, with the mission to reshape finance with crypto, providing a transparent platform that focuses primarily on its community of users. The Company is based in Estonia with headquarters in Tallinn, and currently looking for a full-stack JavaScript Developer.

As part of the client’s IT department, you’ll work with the rest of the team to understand the overall architecture, particularly the front-facing apps and the overall functionality of the underlying crypto services.

Moreover, you will be entrusted to enhance their products and their underlying services, writing the necessary documentation, unit and integration tests, and remodelling and refactoring the codebase as you go to keep a good architecture: robust, scalable, and easy to maintain and understand.

What will you be doing exactly?

Along your journey to grow their product’s technical capacity, you’ll be responsible for:

• Participating in design and architecture sessions with key stakeholders, gathering and documenting business processes and technical requirements
• Ensuring code quality standards are enforced during the peer review process
• Helping product owners to provide feasible estimates during sprint planning
• Supporting the deployment process, including review of logs for errors after code deployment to all environments
• Defining code architecture decisions to support a high-performance and scalable application with a minimal footprint
• Writing adequate unit and integration tests as part and parcel of your deliverables
• Being the project’s technical expert and providing unblocking decisions to the development team
• Monitoring and reducing technical debt while supporting constant improvements in the SDLC
• Maintaining existing applications and API’s

What are the requirements?

• Excellent verbal and written English
• Skilled with OOP or Functional coding in JavaScript, including experience with web frameworks such as ReactJS, React Native, HTML5, SCSS, Node JS and Express
• Have work with databases, preferably with MongoDB and PostgreSQL
• Experienced in the AWS ecosystem
• Knowledgeable with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker with ECS or Kubernetes
• Professional building highly scalable components
• Happy to work in high functioning agile teams

Well-versed with:

• Proper code quality and structure
• The ability to use unambiguous naming conventions to produce clear and maintainable code
• Refactoring code to avoid technical debt irrespective of the original author
• Understanding where certain performance bottlenecks are and coming up with solutions to fix them
• Making proper use of industry-standard design patterns such as microservices in an event-driven design
